Death Valley Dune
These Death Valley dunes cover about 14 square miles and are located near Stove Pipe Wells Village. The tallest crest reaches 60 to 80 feet. The dunes may look barren but are home to many animals that roam the sands by night leaving tracks among those of the many people that wander about by day. An image of these famous dunes in a pristine condition without such human tracks is rare.
